Job description| Service Project Coordinator (Yacht Equipment)

As a Service Project Coordinator, you are responsible for coordinating refit, upgrade, repair and maintenance projects for high-end equipment for the yacht industry. You will report to the Manager Yacht Services and work along with 6 colleagues. The range of custom-built equipment includes doors, hatches, lifting cranes, folding ramps, boarding equipment, among others. You guard the quality and timely completion of the service projects from start to finish. As the Lead, you guide and manage the project team to ensure smooth coordination of the mechanics work and availability of material (spare parts) and travel documentation. Furthermore, your tasks include:

  • Managing the current service projects and proactively approach existing and new customers
  • Preparing quotations and preliminary calculations for the maintenance and repair work, spare parts and materials
  • Coordinating the work of the mechanics, necessary materials for each assignment and ensures that these reach the right location
  • Making sure that you have the correct documents, so technicians can travel to different locations
  • Arranging the shipment of spare parts
  • Preparing reports and calculations to ensure the correct financial situation for each project
  • Handling and assessing warranty reports in consultation with the relevant departments, such as project management and engineering

Job requirements| Service Project Coordinator (Yacht Equipment)

  • Bachelor level education, knowledge in Mechanical Engineering is a plus!
  • +3 years of experience in a similar role, as Service Coordinator or similar
  • Experience in team management and customer relationship
  • Service and customer-oriented with good communication skills
  • Excellent English & Dutch communication skills in writing and speaking
