Your opportunity

As an Integration Engineer Propulsion Systems, your role entails designing and integrating propulsion systems into project throughout the engineering phase. You will be involved in the project from the proposal stage, assisting in the definition and selection of feasible propulsion configurations and components.

Your responsibilities include acquiring propulsion components in collaboration with the Purchasing department during the Basic Engineering phase. You will also be responsible for integrating these purchased components with the ship. During the Detailed Engineering phase, you will participate in FAT and develop installation and alignment procedures for the propulsion components. Additionally, you will provide production support during installation, STW, HAT, and SAT.

What you will do

  • Developing functional technical specifications for suppliers and subcontractors based on customer and design requirements
  • Conducting technical evaluations of supplier quotations in close collaboration with the purchasing department
  • Ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements during technical discussions with competing suppliers
  • Acquiring and reviewing supplier engineering information and documentation, such as mechanical drawings, schematics, calculations, and electrical diagrams
  • Integrating delivered components and systems into the ship's design, coordinating with internal departments, suppliers, statutory bodies, and the owner
  • Creating technical and functional specification documents, including system description statements, installation and alignment procedures, HAT, and SAT procedures
  • Verifying the technical performance of products and systems through dynamic simulations, equipment inspections at supplier premises, FATs, and onboard installations

What you already have

  • BSc. or MSc. degree in Marine Engineering
  • Experience and knowledge of propulsion systems, preferably in shipbuilding
  • EU citizenship is a must, due to the nature of the military projects
