Your opportunity

Embark on a pivotal role as a Naval Architect dedicated to environmental integrity within a dynamic 2-year project tenure. You'll spearhead the integration and enhancement of environmental standards across the engineering stages of an eminent project. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with environmental parameters such as temperature extremes, humidity, green water impact, local accelerations, and ship orientations affecting all onboard systems and equipment.

What you will do

  • Design an Aspect Management Plan (AMP) to guide environmental considerations from engineering to final trials
  • Propose a comprehensive database for environmental attribute verification and compliance
  • Lead discussions with client representatives on AMP, database proposals, and manage deviations
  • Develop a robust cold weather operation concept
  • Collect and analyze environmental data from suppliers against client standards, documenting deviations
  • Consistently deliver the Aspect Analysis Report (AAR) detailing deviations and non-conformities to the client

What you already have

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Naval Architecture or a related field
  • Over three years of relevant experience in Naval Architecture, with a significant focus on environmental aspects
  • Full-time availability in Vlissingen
  • Strong command of English for effective communication with a multicultural team
  • Preparedness to undergo a background check
  • EU citizenship is essential due to the sensitive nature of military projects
