Main requirements: 5+ years of experience in the engineering of marine systems, preferably in the yacht building industry

Your opportunity

As a Lead Engineer Piping within the Engineering Team of the superyacht building shipyard, you supervise the basic and detailed engineering development of marine piping systems. You work under the wing of a discipline leader who coordinates with co-makers and client representatives, while you are responsible for leading and checking the team of internal & external engineers.



What you will do

  • Acting as the knowledge carrier in all matters related to system pipings
  • Checking and approving the accuracy of the technical output of engineering teams
  • Reviewing all the information related to project development: quality, integration, time
  • Monitoring the progress in cooperation with other disciplines
  • Making sure all relevant data is compliant with the building specifications, standards, design codes, quality standards, and rules & regulations
  • Maintaining contact with Classification Societies & Flag States
  • Supporting purchasing, production, commissioning, and aftersales
  • Aiming the improvement of the process with a creative mindset

What you already have

  • BSc. or MSc. degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years' of experience in engineering of marine piping systems in the yacht or shipbuilding industry
  • Affinity with rules and regulations, Solas and Large Yacht Code
  • Experienced with CAD programs, preferably Cadmatic
  • Quality and budget awareness as you will be working on the improvement of processes
  • Ability to work in a highly complex technical environment, so expect to be positively challenged
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English since you will be working across several departments and project teams
  • Available for full-time in Rotterdam
